EGR Solutions

Eliminate one of the most common and costly causes of diesel engine problems. The EGR valve.

What Is an EGR Valve and Why Does It Fail?

The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is an emissions control device that routes a portion of exhaust gases back into the engine's intake. Over time, these exhaust gases deposit heavy soot throughout the EGR valve, inlet manifold and intake ports.

Once clogged, the EGR valve sticks open or closed, causing rough idle, loss of power, black smoke, increased fuel consumption and eventually engine warning lights. EGR valves are expensive components and the problem will return after replacement unless the root cause is addressed.

Why Delete the EGR?

Eliminate Costly Failures

EGR valves can cost several hundred pounds to replace. A delete removes the problem permanently, with no more repeat failures.

Cleaner Engine Internals

Without exhaust gas recirculation, soot build-up in the intake manifold and inlet ports stops entirely. The engine stays cleaner for longer.

Improved Throttle Response

Fresh air in, exhaust gas out. The engine breathes more freely, giving sharper throttle response and smoother running.

Potential Fuel Savings

A more efficient combustion process can result in modest fuel economy improvements, particularly on older vehicles with heavily clogged EGR systems.

No More EGR Warning Lights

The ECU software is updated to remove all EGR-related diagnostics, so no fault codes or dashboard warnings will ever be triggered by the deleted system.

Longer Engine Life

Keeping combustion products out of the intake system reduces wear on inlet valves, turbo seals and the engine itself over time.

Important Notice — The law regarding EGR removal.

If you are located outside of the UK, please check your local laws. For UK customers, under the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations and the Road Traffic Act 1988 it is an offence to use on a road a vehicle which has been modified in such a way that it no longer complies with the air pollutant emissions standards it was originally designed to meet. Removal of emissions control devices is intended to support motorsport and off-road applications.
